As for religious traditions being the source of morality, this is rubbish, since different religions consider different forms of behavior moral or immoral.
That different religions have different codes doesn't mean that religions aren't a primary source of those codes in our world. I never claimed that religion was a rational source for morality, or even always a good one, just one that does a good job of injecting moral codes of behavior into people.
This obviously contradicts your statement that there is some objective standard of morality that is amenable to reason and logic.
Why? Does someone who claims he can fly with feathers glued to his arms invalidate the existence of aeronautical engineering?
If there were an objective standard, we and the Mullahs would agree on all moral points.
This assumes that we and the Mullahs are rational, doesn't it? Again, that people ignore reality or find delusions more comfortable isn't proof that reality doesn't exist.

- History shows religion is the world's worst source of "ethics".

- Pre-selected populations with prior behavior requirements are bound to do better. Faith has nothing to do with it.
