"[religion] does a good job of injecting moral codes of behavior into people."
Granted, so does operant conditioning. But you still can't tell me if those codes are good or bad, because there is no way you can say that.
"claims...fly[ing] with feathers glued to his arms invalidate[s] the existence of aeronautical engineering?
Your claims of the verifiable "principles of morality" fall in the same category.
"that people ignore reality or find delusions more comfortable isn't proof that reality doesn't exist."
Your definition of reality frequently coincides with what you have already decided to be true.
I don't have to be a Mullah to consider that as irrational.
You can bat around sophistries all you like, TB, but your embracing of a factoid does not automatically transform it into a law of physics. In a way, you are even more intransigent than religionists, at least they'll tell you up front, "I have faith". The best you can come up with is "I have reasoned it to be right, therefore it is." Do you really believe that your reasoning is so infallible that everyone who arrives at a different conclusion than you about anything must be wrong? And that not only are they wrong, but they are stupid as well.

- As opposed to what?
- Pre-selected populations with prior behavior requirements are bound to do better. Faith has nothing to do with it.
