Pierre had some interesting thoughts. My beliefs are a little different in several ways.
I believe that God created our universe, and all of our natural and physical laws that govern it, so that intelligent life would evolve independently from him. That is why I feel intelligent life is very important to God. We are the goal he had when he created this universe.
I do think that there is other intelligent life out there. I am curious if they have their own version of Jesus. It makes perfect sense to me that the creator of our universe would want to visit the world, where intelligent life as evolved, as one of their own. He would do this not only to establish a relationship with them, but to also experience life as one.
