The Israeli response was design to de-escalate
And it acheive that goal two ways: It was limited to a few drones that did a small amount of damage and took no lives. It also struck in a vital area that showed if there was another counter strike by Iran, Israel could take out the entire facilty.
Iran has said they will not respond. Their regional capabilities took a huge hit when Biden ordered 180 strikes on their proxies and QUDS forces outside Iran a couple months ago. They know they have a lot more to lose if they don't back down.
Bibi may want a broader war but he knows Biden and the rest of the world don't. Israel can't survive forever being a pariah to the entire world.
