Just for the record, gravity in the Bermuda Triangle is exatly the same as it is everywhere else. Neither are there any magnetic or electrical anomalies, or particularly unusual geophysical effects. I have no idea where that bogus 3% figure came from, but believe me, if it were true, EVERYONE on earth would be very aware of it. As for the Triangle itself, nothing out of the ordinary is going on there. The only odd things about the place are that the conditions are favorable for the growth of hurricanes and the area encompasses the North Atlantic Gyre, the dead spot of four major ocean currents that circle it, causing seaweed to collect there. (The Sargasso Sea). There are several other places like it in the world's oceans.
The number of planes and ships lost there is perfectly consistent with the weather and traffic through the area. My proof? Lloyds of London, the world's great maritime underwriter, does not have special insurance rates for the area. When I was in the Navy, my ship was sent into that area to collect meteorological data on a minor hurricane passing through. We survived with minor deck damage and one of our officers suffered a broken arm falling off a ladder during a particularly nasty roll.
The whole Bermuda Triangle nonsense is the result of a sensationalist book written about the area a few years ago, based on an aircraft accident which was explained years ago. There is nothing to it.
Now this other place, the Devil's Hole, or whatever? Tell me more, tell me more.
