Re: virus

Back on the laptop. I thought I had it beat last night when I went to bed but this morning it was back with a vengeance. I can't get anything to work now. I have been trying all kinds of things that my son has told me to do, and he's good at this stuff. But now any time you try to open a command prompt to bypass the virus it shuts it down. I tried all kinds of stuff but the virus always shuts them down as fast as I can open them. I can't even boot up in safe mode. I have stopped trying and will turn the computer over to my son so he can work on it at his home. I think I'll be reformatting the c drive

It starts as if it's a virus checker warning you that you have been infected but if you tell it to clear your computer it proceeds to infect it. If you see an unfamiliar virus checker open without you activating it close it as fast as you can. better yet just unplug your computer power cord as fast as you can. It's probably already too late though.
