I went to a business site for a webmeeting and was denied access because i needed to upgrade my Flash Player. Said I needed a CODEC. Went to another site www.go2webmeeting.com (or some such) and downloaded the update, only to have all the bells and whistles go off on my virus protector. I managed to isolate and find two of the programs and got them off my computer. Several hours later my computer is back up to speed and I have no problems EXCEPT when I click on any Google link, I am re-directed to a host of other search engines for businesses and their promos, some of them professional. I uninstalled my Google toolbar and even my homepage, but it's still happening on Google. The only way I can avoid this is to cut and paste the link into my browser, which is a pain, because sometimes you don't see the whole link.
And I don't see ANY illegal programs in My Computer. Anyone got any ideas how to search for this and destroy it? Thanks in advance.🙄
