Same thing exactly happened to me
Right down to the Blue Screen and it wouldn't boot up again. I called Dell and they were able to restore it and I lost absolutely nothing. It costs a little, but believe me, it's worth it. Probably cost around $100. I don't know if they'll work on other computer brands. But if it is a Dell, call 1-800-624-9896 ext 7266955 and have your service tag # handy.
Oh, IF you have your operating system disk, you could try booting up from that but I think you've got a sneaky virus. I did and I have McAfee guarding my computer. You hit that damn site where it redirects you and you're a goner. Now I've got Firefox set where it won't allow redirects ever without my express permission.
