Re: Running a company and an industry and a world economy into the ground...

i can see the executives all being thieves, that's to be expected, it's in their dna. but what about the owners? it wasn't just the clients who got ripped off, it was the stockholders, as well. if i owned shares in a company that just tanked and i found out management was passing out bonuses to the people responsible, i would be on the warpath. aren't there any lawyers in manhattan? or is that the problem? or maybe these supercapitalists are so baffled and confused by this monster they've created that they don't have any idea how to control it.

like the "victims" of the madoff ponzi operation, they are so blinded by their greed that their iqs seem to be affected. it would be nice if one could just say "i don't own stock or invest money in these financial firms, so i'm not vulnerable" but the way these guys have taken over the economy, gotten it addicted to their financing, you're a victim no matter how hard you've worked to try to stay off the grid. the only way we can keep the economy from total collapse is to continue feeding these financial frankensteins. it's like the alien's acid blood: "it's got the perfect defense mechanism, you don't dare kill it."

the problem with the game these guys are playing is that you can't avoid being cheated by simply refusing to play with them. that's what makes it different.
