Re: I just yelled at Dell and it felt good!

Most of the time I am just annoyed, but regarding the no call list, we could disprove capital punishment as a deterrent once and for all by making calling some one on the list subject to the death penalty. I am certain it wouldn't slow them down much.

Anyway, some fun things I have done; I tell the caller I am busy at the moment but I want to talk to them if they will give me their home phone number to call them at a more convenient time. I got this from some comedian but it really works to get them off their rhythm and it is a hoot to hear their excuses not to give out their number.

On the credit insurance deal, I explained to a caller (after numerous similar calls) that I was retired and would not be eligible for the insurance. She insisted that I would be eligible so I said go ahead and sign me up. When I got a statement with the insurance charge billed, I called customer service and requested that my account be permanently deferred due to unemployment. When I told them of my circumstances she said I was not eligible. I then told her that I had told the salesperson that and they insisted I was. After wasting 10-15 minutes of their time, they credited the charges and I haven't been called again. I also learned that no debt is forgiven anyway it is just deferred and I am pretty sure you still incur interest for the deferment🙁

The point is, it is amazing what you can do when your time is less valuable than theirs and you are in a mischievous mood😁
