What exactly do you think Reagan did to cause the Berlin Wall to fall?
If you're thinking of the line "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!", do you think that Gorby immediately and obediently leapt into action and took a sledgehammer to the wall? Hardly. That was a throwaway line in an obscure speech that Reagan gave in 1987, one that was retroactively elevated by Reagan mythologizers as the cause of the downfall of East Germany. But more than two years elapsed between that hitherto-forgotten bit of overheated rhetoric and the collapse of East Germany. The mythologizers are trying to play on your selective memory.
There is no causal link between anything Reagan did and the fall of the Berlin Wall.
