__"Good afternoon, Q."
"Oh, it's you, Bond."
"M tells me you have the equipment I need for my next assignment."
"Quite right: now pay attention. Here is your ball of 100 foot cord and a stake."
"Let me guess, the stake is also a powerful microwave transmitter and the cord is the antenna."
"Don't be foolish, Bond. It's a rope and a peg."
"It doesn't blow up, or shoot a laser, or dispense sleeping gas? What fun is that, I ask you?"
"You're not here to have fun, Bond, your mission is to create crop circles, and make them look convincing. They need to be good enough to draw attention away from the real ones."
"Oh for Pete's sake, Q, the only real ones are the ones you and your friends have been making in your spare time for all these years, and now that you are near retirement, I'm sure you'll be making more, all over the world."
"Precisely, Bond. If we flood the market with your cheap imitations, ours will look all that much more convincing, and really keep those serious researchers hopping. Get craking Bond, the sun will be up in a couple of hours..."__
Just having fun, Lindy, sorry. Not compelled to watch the video, maybe later when I've more time for debunkery related activity. That, and I do find it rude, and a poor selling point on your part, to tell me I'm being manipulated. A common tactic (like the "nobody cares" lament) employed by anomalists that I don't fall for.
Funny, though, that even the "hoaxes" are now part of the big conspiracy.
