The simplest assumption, by Occham's Razor, is that ALL crop circles are hoaxes. To prove otherwise, you need to show that at least ONE crop circle was produced by non-human agency. To be convinced of that, the rational mind needs to see SOMETHING extraterrestrial. For example: A part that fell off the alien spacecraft while making the crop circle; a part that is beyond human technology; some object of isotopic ratios not found on Earth. But the rational mind needs something SOLID that can be brought into the laboratory and examined carefully.
I have never seen a shred of evidence in favor of that. I have also never seen a shred of evidence that UFOs are anything other than clouds, planets, ordinary airplanes, lies, or delusions. Again, no fallen parts, no strange isotopic ratios, nothing but scuttlebutt.
I find crop circles, UFOs, ESP, and similar occult notions as believable as the Tooth Fairy or the Easter Bunny.
