I think there have been a number of circles around Saskatchewan. Most of the Canadian ones are relatively simple, basic circles or rectangles. You understand that the strong "localization" of this phenomenon in specific areas (the UK alone accounts for a huge percentage) is evidence for localized human circlemakers.
It is a capital mistake for a scientist to bet his or her career and reputation on one particular theory. Crop circles are not the only case of this happening lately.
