Perhaps with the new high tech systems on the new cars people should be required to go through a short training session before they are allowed to take their new car home. The dealer should have a couple of people who are trained in the way the new cars may be different than what people are used to and can take them out on the road or maybe a special track near by to show them what they should and shouldn't do that might be dangerous. Each car is a little different and I know it always takes me a little while to become familiar with a new one.
Most might find that unnecessary, but there are people out there who will panic when they run into an unfamiliar situation. I don't think it should be made into a law requiring it, but Toyota and other manufacturers should really consider it.
