You're dancing all over the room. Health insurance is not a retirement fund. Neither is life insurance.
We are told endlessly that there is a "price" we all have to pay to live in a civilized society.
What is carefully ignored and/or suppressed is that this social insurance "price" has increased drastically over the past years despite the fact that we also lived in a functional and "civilized" society when we were getting soaked a hell of a lot less for it. Looking around, I think this Robin Hood racket has almost hit the limit of what this country is willing to tolerate.
