i've always had misgivings about just exactly what i believed, and why. my external reality is not yet complete, or at least, not my knowledge or opinion of it. you see, i haven't been blessed with the conservative virtues of infallibility and omniscience. conservatives have always despised this lack of certainty in liberals, the right needs to see the left as psychologically identical to them, but with different politics. lack of certainty is certainly not your problem, which is why you and your allies are always so disappointed but never really seem to know why.
as for ideological sycophants like those people on the website, they are not that different from the image they have created of their enemies. their major role in life is in demonizing those who don't share their paranoia so they'll have a valid reason for having it in the first place. like most people everywhere, they are concerned primarily with their own interest but refuse to admit it to themselves, they must legitimize common avarice with noble sentimentality and ceremonial display. in other words, they are just plain hypocrites.
as for projection, who's doing the down-the-throat-cramming on this forum, tb? count up the partisan posts, you have consistently out-posted all the leftists, here, indeed, all the other posters combined, left, right and indifferent, in sheer volume, monotony and desperation. at the risk of borrowing another insight from psychoanalysis, who else are you trying to persuade besides yourself?
you don't sound like a man trying to influence others, you sound a lot more like a man desperate to convince himself. you've as much as confessed it publicly, with your admission that you come here to try and understand why others stubbornly insist on dismissing what you say. you're an inheritor of an old american tradition, or perhaps i should say pathology: the cotton mather/ jonathan edwards preacher of colonial times. not that i expect you will benefit from this observation, those afflicted with this neurosis find it absolutely impossible to see themselves as other see them.
