Keep an eye on those guys

I have never claimed "infallibility" or "omniscience." Nor has any other political conservative or libertarian I know. And it's not only a straw man, it's still projection.

If you actually gave this any thought, you would see that my philosophy has considerably less of those attributes than the philosophy of someone who thinks that centralized authorities don't have nearly enough power over our lives yet. Decentralization, liberty, free competition, open societies, and strong limits on authority and government reflect the beliefs of someone who is well aware that men are not gods, and the best you can do in a society is isolate and limit the damage they can do. None of my historical heroes have votive candles with their pictures on them, or newspaper photos with haloes and crosses.

You are 180 degrees dead wrong on this. Like I said, if you believe what you say you do, you're backing the wrong horse.

And please, lets not try to draw an equivalence between my fervent posting on this board and a political ideology taking control of my actual life. Nobody is forcing you to read my stuff.

In a democratic society where the Constitution no longer holds much power and it is now possible for people to vote us all into totalitarianism, convincing others of the dangers involved becomes a lot more than an academic exercise, even if it doesn't get much beyond that for me in a limited forum. As I said elsewhere, I really don't have what it takes to bring it any further, and there are plenty of others on that front line.
