These are some remarkable statements. Not one person I know who is of the conservative or libertarian persuasion has declared the private sector incapable of abuse, or had a starry-eyed attitude about corporations.
The fact is that government abuses (and those of industries that are owned and controlled by governments) are orders of magnitude more damaging than private sector ones have ever been. Nobody can look at history objectively and come to any other conclusion.
Government, by its very nature and monopoly on force, will always be more dangerous than the private sector.
I take this into account when analyzing which is the greater threat, and my principles reflect this.
