The "partisan dichotomy" arises because most of these "diversity" gimmicks tend to favor the Democratic Party. The liberal definition of "diversity" is people of all colors, races, and creeds, who all toe the Democratic line.
Just curious: Which way did you vote on Prop 14, which accomplishes exactly the opposite of the supposed goals of cumulative voting?
