Not sure what the judge being a Republican has to do with anything. I stand by my phrasing.
When normal elections don't get the results you want, change the rules until they do.
Remember, this entire effort is based on the liberal theology that all minorities do, and should, think alike. As soon as you get the right color in there, the right ideas and principles will automatically follow, and balance will be restored. There is, under this theology, no way a minority could properly represent non-minorities, or vice versa.
The reason conservative minority people get such virulent hatred from the Left is that to them, this is literally blasphemy.
