I guess you managed to miss the other technical term, "True Skeptic", that perfectly balanced "True Believer". I've seen the terms used in polls before, and they have a technical meaning that should be obvious even to us civilians. At least, civilians without a partisan axe to grind.
Is the tea party movement for whites only? There's no official rule barring people of other ethnicities from joining up, but c'mon, have you ever seen anybody other than white folk at a tea party protest? Regardless of whatever tea partiers will admit to pollsters about their attitudes, the reality is clearly political apartheid.
Why are tea partiers so defensive about their racial exclusivity? Well, gee, their nauseating habit of claiming to represent "the American people" would be laughable enough if they showed a little diversity, as part of a diverse society; but to admit that they appeal only to extremely conservative white people reveals them to be nothing more than a lunatic fringe with delusions of normalcy.
