The "Tea Party Boogeyman" meme (ironically touted along with lectures on "strawmen" and "scapegoats") isn't working for you, and it sure as heck isn't working for the Democrats.

The modern Democratic Party finally got the level of political power it's always wanted, and they demonstrated to the nation in no uncertain terms exactly what they wanted to do with it.

The mask is gone, lying in pieces on the ground. Obama's popularity is in the mid 40s, and this despite a completely subservient media. Democratic Party leaders have retreated to their own little worlds. Independent voters are bailing out on the Democrats in droves.

But hey! Those silly Tea Partiers like guns and hate soccer!
