Yeah, I want to see the country put on the path to fiscal responsibility too, but attempts to do so during this recession are dangerous. I think Cains plan would be just as damaging to the economy as ObamaCare.
If the tax code relieves some of the burden from the wealthy, then the plan seems like it would foster political power.
I think we haven't yet seen what the plan will do to the actual taxes paid by upper income Americans. We know now that the capitol gains tax will be cut . But unless you believe that the wealthy have tax shelters to greatly lower their income, the "rich" are going to enjoy a huge tax cut- from 35% to 9%.
