The consumers who might have purchased a new car will simply put new tires on the old one, forgo purchasing that fishing boat, forgo the 52 inch TV, that trip to Yellowstone, etc., etc. because of the sales tax. They can only squeeze so far before something pops and the pus poisons us all.
