That doesn't work, Buck.

You need to make your point with facts. You dragged up some link about how banking works, and tried to project it into national economics.

There is, in economic theory, a "money multiplier" for money supply. That's where your banking example lies. There is not, and never has been, a "wealth multiplier." Wealth is created or destroyed. Financial transactions often take place in anticipation of the creation (or destruction) of wealth, such as in markets or banking, but at some point the actual wealth has to eventually BE there. We found out a couple of years ago what happens in the private sector when too many people pretend imaginary wealth is real. The government does that all the time. Think about that.

You can't confiscate wealth from businesses, pass it to "customers" to spend at those businesses, and pretend you're accomplishing something. No business with any sense is going to expand or hire based on a temporary flush of artificial prosperity. It didn't work when Bush tried it, it sure as hell didn't work when Obama did the "stimulus," and it won't work by pumping cash to the unemployed either. It's even worse if you're borrowing or printing that cash.

Real economic growth will happen when we have a government that is no longer actively hostile toward private wealth, private business, and profits. Democratic refried Marxism KILLS economies as thoroughly as the pure version.

If any bank or business ran their finances the way the government does, they would be thrown in jail.
