It was something I learned about during the Enron scandals. Those execs had money in some kind of protected accounts in Texas (unique to Texas) where no one, not even the courts get at them. I can not find the name of the type of account now but I'll keep looking. It was not the LLC. These were some place you could deposit funds and keep them from being attached by anyone or any entity.
