In most but not all versions of the commercial, the radio's location is shown later when it bursts into static: It's about 20 feet behind those two guys, sitting on a table, and the guy with the droopy glance runs over to tune it back.
Hey, I know it's a CGI elephant, gimme a break. It's a testimony to the state of the art that I can play at the conceit that it's portraying a real elephant just for the sake of offtopic noodling.
