So where the hell are the spending cuts from the Democrats and "progressives?"
Not to have to belabor the obvious, but we have already heard from the Democratic Senate on "slashing" $6 billion. We have already heard from Biden that entitlements are something to take care of 20 years from now. We have seen Obama's spending cuts in his budget - something like $33 billion in 2012. Out of a $3.7 trillion budget. Less than 1 percent.
Go back and look at the very first opening post of this thread. That's a Democrat, "cutting spending."
No Democrat is going to touch the Great Wealth Redistribution that is their foundation, and the vast majority of government spending. And so, like Europe, we're going to hit the fan.
How about your ideas? Maybe you recall this post of yours. I'm not seeing a lot of spending cuts here, other than raising the age of retirement and cutting those above a certain income level out of programs they've paid into for years. Good luck selling those to the Democratic base. I am seeing a lot of tax ideas, and the best idea of all, adding our entire medical system onto the Federal budget. Put everyone on Medicare, then it will balance out for sure.
