The total deficit reduction by 2021 under the Deficit Commission Report is $3.9 trillion (Figure 3). That's a little over half the deficit over that time under the CBO baseline, and a little over a third of the deficit under Obama's plan.
What next?
More wealth redistribution? Larger and more powerful government? More and more taxes? That'll fix everything. Make sure none of the bastards out there in the private sector ends up with any surplus wealth and we'll all live in prosperity.
These ideas have wrecked every single country where they've been consistently applied. At what point does the clue finally land?
