Actually, I tend to side against certain Republicans on this.

While I don't agree with Daschle's crankiness about the war, or his opinion of the president, and believe that we have a perfect right to pillory him for his opinions (which tend to suck on a nearly cosmic level), to make the fact that Daschle IS criticizing the president into some treasonous or anti-American act is a dangerous precendent. Hey, I ran Clinton over the coals for his stupid actions when he was bombing somebody to redirect attention away from the Hiding of the Salami.

Ream Daschle out for his stupid opinions, but don't try to shut him up on some patriotic pretense.
