The Mormons cannot force me to be a Mormon, nor can they send armed marshalls to collect their money. There are no Mormons in prison for not paying a tithe, nor does the church confiscate the bank accounts and homes of those who do not pay.

If I refuse to pay my taxes, my liberty, property, and even my life are placed at immediate risk. Redistribution of income is basically legalized looting, but naturally it is impossible for advocates of redistribution to admit this.

Voluntary cooperation is a natural human way to accomplish things that are difficult to accomplish alone, but the key word is voluntary.

BTW, the fact that tiny communities in Israel, many of them failing, have to be dragged up as the prime examples of successful collectivism in world history, shows how utterly pathetic the pro-collectivist movement has become.
