- Like the assumption that I learned all my politics in grade school, by brainwashing, rather than through thirty years of independent study and research. I read some of Marx, and gave up partway through. Largely bullshit, with inscrutable definitions pulled out of his ass, and assumptions about reality that either don't hold up to five minutes of common sense, or are based on observatons of primitive feudal systems. I have read nothing by Engels. And what difference would it make? I know what Marxism has done in reality, regardless of theory.
- Like the astonishing assumption that my assertions on the nature of Marxism are based on some arbitrary personal opinion rather than objective observation of half a century of blood-soaked history and the testimony of tens of thousands of victims as well as many of the perpetrators.
Car and driver? What the heck is that supposed to mean? Do you honestly think that it's just rotten bad luck that every single Marxist state that has ever existed has become a murderous hellhole of poverty and human destruction? Do you honestly believe, like so many have before you, that if only the right combination were found, that a peaceful democratic state with total centralized control of all economic activity is possible?
Cripes, I could understand this stubborn viewpoint if you were one of those brainless communist students I had to deal with in college, or one of the socialist "intellectuals" or college professors that have invested what remains of their minds and reputations in a long-held faith in collectivism, but as far as I know you are none of these things.
I refuse to learn??? How much history has to take place right before your eyes before you learn something?
