Re: Both wrong.

The source of wealth in our modern society is the human intellect, free to function in a free society, and free to develop new ways and ideas. Good Lord, it sounds like neither one of you has left the 1500s.

America's wealth is from new science, new technologies, new ways of getting things done that allows one human being to be as productive as dozens, or hundreds, used to be. And these are the product of the human mind, not the human muscles.

Bowser, if raw labor was all it took to build a rich society, then an ancient farm manned by a hundred slaves would be more productive than a modern one run by one family with mechanized, high-tech farming techniques. China would be the richest nation on Earth.

Robert? Land? How many acres does Bill Gates own? Here's a list of billionaires. How many made their fortune shoving real estate around? How many made their fortunes developing some new way of doing things that made people's lives better and attracted tons of business their way? Or at least inherited it from someone who did this?

The sooner you guys can get past this obsolete Marxist crap and see how the world and free enterprise really works, the better off you'll be.
