I was first introduced to the abundance of dust drawn into my computer when my CD drive wouldn't work. I took off the face cover and was amazed at the amount of dust inside which had the look of fine magnetic metal particles on a magnet. That's when I realized the fans were drawing dust into the computer and further inspection revealed that all the air drawn into the machine was through the slots of the disk drives. For now I'll just keep cleaning, but I'm tempted to cut louvers in the case and use foam for filters to redirect the air intake.
