“BS in Computer Engineering”. Is that the same as computer science? (BS-CS)
That’s great! Keep it up.

Me, I wanted to be an engineer but ended up with a BA in Economics. I convinced myself that I was just lazy but this board has helped me to realize I’m not as smart as I thought I was and It’s a good thing, I can move on from here.

I’m currently studying a Software Test Engineering course. I guess it’s appropriate because I’ve heard software testing called the “dumping ground” for flunkies. Unfortunately, this is not the best time to make a career change, especially into the software industry. I’ve heard that just three years ago, if you “had a pulse (warm body)” “ knew how to turn a computer on”, you got hired. Now its 2-5 years experience and a shit-load of qualifications. Oh well, I’ll find something.

I picked up Mig Alley at Wall-Mart for my 8-year-old Godson, Tyler. It comes in a two-pack with Apache Havoc, which I haven’t played yet. Well, “Uncle Rob” had to take it home to figure out how to play it. It comes with a 130-page manual on the CD and no quick reference card. I think you can pretty much command the entire Korean airwar and fly numerous types of aircraft but I just like dogfighting in the F-86 in single player mode. Nice graphics and realism. $9.99

I have Jane’s F-18 but it’s too difficult and the scenery sucks.
(wave off…WAVE OFF!!!)

A-10 Cuba. Great game for it’s time but graphics are a little cartoonish and A-10s are lousy dogfighters.

I had F-15 Strike Eagle II. It came on (5) 5.25-inch disks (ever seen one?;) It was made by MicroProse who I think also makes Falcon 4.0 If the same people wrote it; It should be a good game.

If you want to BS sometime about computers, games, careers or whatever…
