Oh those frivolous law suits. Unless, of course, you should happen to be the plaintiff.
Why those horrible lawyers took advantage of a hospital and a doctor in Tampa last year and walked off with an obscene sum.
The doctor and the hospital were trying to save the mean plantiffs life. The fellow had gangrene and needed to have his leg removed.
In a teensy error, the doctor took off the wrong leg. Hey, but he went back and took off the correct one later.
The lawyers took this case and walked away with a tidy some. Only problem was that the plaintiff didn't walk away.
Proposed tort reforms will take away access to the courts from the poor. But hey, who cares?
