To add a point

The cost of a typical 1000 MW nuclear plant is about $4 billion and takes up to 7 years to go online. A 600 kW wind turbine can be up and running in a single day. That means that 1,667 wind turbines could be built in little more than 4.5 years, and would cost $2 billion.

Therefore,
Wind power can be installed for less than half the cost of nuclear, and can be up & running in a fraction of the time. Also, there is no waste or effluent to dispose of later. That's an additional waste-disposal savings of $4 million annually for Wind Energy.
