This is what wind energy may represent: the realization of much of what science fiction is all about. The creation of a clean, stable, self-sufficient & sustainable way of life. You know, when I am interested in obtaining something, whatever it is, I compare its quality with whatever else is available. I usually choose a thing based on *how clean* it is, since I only compare things that already possess the functionality I am looking for. Whether the item is a car, living accomodations, or a fork and knife from the cutlery tray... the cleanest things will always be preferred and have the highest value.
Nuclear power only appears clean. That is because the radioactive waste is stored at the bottom of a tank of heavy water, in a closed, high-security storage facility, often many miles away from populated areas. Out of sight, out of mind.
