Is that up to 2/3rds of the per kilowatt-hour cost for nuclear power is to pay for LAWYERS and court costs of people who oppose it.
As for wind power, it is good and helpful, but not the be-all and end all power source. Here in El Paso the wind blows very hard in the springtime, but not the whole year 'round. El Paso Electric recently built and put online two 600KW wind turbines. They are touting it as "renewable" energy and are "selling" 100KW "blocks" at $1.97 (residential) per "block" per month. This tariff is to try and raise funds to build more without borrowing money. I went ahead and purchased 4 blocks, to put my money where my mouth was. We shall see what happens. It certainly can't hurt anything.
