Wind a good complement to Nukes
Given that the costs are as you say, an excellent place for such generators is off the coast of New England. Water is shallow and wind is measured to be constant and higher than the alleged windy city of Chicago.
I view renewable wind as an excellent auxillary power source that could minimize coal (messy) & oil (expensive)burning. A fine complement to cost effective, 21st century design, simpler nuclear plants for steady state power needs.
