So you have 110,000 50 metre towers spread across the countryside. Takes up a fair bit of space, but not impossible, if you want it. Personally I think wind farms are pretty ugly, but that's just me.
You'll also need to build a major industry whose sole purpose is maintaining and repairing these towers, but that's growth and can absorb a lot of the technicians from the coal oil and gas industries (but not all).
However, what do you do if it's either intensely cold or hot and the wind doesn't blow much for a few days?
How are you going to keep warm or cool? How are you going to run your industries? How do you keep hospitals running?
Trouble with any passive generation system is that it's vulnerable to natural variation in the driving forces (solar, or wind). There may well be role for renewable energy in the total mix, but don't ever pretend it can rise above a level where you'd suffer if it slacked off for a few days (i.e. <20% of total energy demand). The rest still has to come from horrid hydrocarbons or deadly nuclear power. :-)
