Before engineers came along, the world was a heck of a lot less populous, too. As far as I'm concerned, no cure for engineering is needed -- just *better* engineering. That's what I'll be trying to do with my life, anyways.
And hey -- enjoy your aphalt jungle while you can. I'm living close to the Pakistan border, with military helicopters thumping by every half hour, and nuclear missile launchers moved into place -- and I'm starting to get the feeling that *this* patch of asphalt jungle might go bye-bye in the very near future.
It's *not* a good feeling.
So anyways, cheer up already!
