There is no evidence, or science that indicates that machines will ever be conscious. In fact, serious deep thinkers like Penrose claim quite the opposite. Meanwhile, popular computer "scientists" like MIT's Marvin Minsky have been proven wrong, decade after decade since the 1970s about AI coming "real soon now". Like fusion power, AI is "just around the corner".
