My understanding of the report (which I have not read)
indicates they are stating that: catastrophe will befall, based on our projections which may not be accurate. Logically, theirs is a true and ethical statement, spin it how you will.
However, my post only intended to address the garish headline of "blind trust in models". The quotes I snipped were sufficient to me to show inconsistancy, regardless of the rest of the text. I apologize if your mind works differently than mine, and you were offended my "edit".
