If we lived in an ideal society, where schools and educations were private, and paid for by citizens like automobiles, you would be absolutely right.
When school is compulsory, and teachers are selected for my child by the State, I have a little more to say on who is dumping crap into my kid's head.
If the teacher was white--I don't know if he is or isn't--and had used the "n" word in the class, his career would already be cooling on a slab and lawyers would be circling like vultures.
