Would Gore have done better?
IMHO, Gore would be a better president regarding a range of issues including environment, energy policy, space, deficit reduction, vision, and much more.
Regarding the response to 9/11 though, it's tough to beat the Bush team. I'd say there's about a 50% chance Gore would have done as good a job so far. Clinton I would say an 80% chance we'd have been this effective. The Bush team however deserves credit for an excellent job in the war on terror.
