Sad

<Let me introduce you and some of the other folks here to a novel concept, called the Marginal Fucking Propensity to Consume. It states that poor people spend their money, while the rich save it.

Right now no one is spending, because they don't know what will happen next. If you give tax breaks to the rich, they won't spend it. If you give tax breaks to the poor, they'll spend it, because they have to. You want to stimulate the economy, give money to the "less wealthy".

Let me introduce you to something called "basic economics" which the idiot public education system should have drilled into you when you were nine years old. To put it simply, when a wealthy person "saves" large amounts of money, it goes into banks or brokerage houses, and then directly into the investment community, where it builds businesses and grows the economy.

Of course, most liberals firmly believe that the wealthy store their money in huge sacks with dollar signs on them. Then they put on their black coats, top hats, and diamond stickpins and enjoy a tasty meal of fried baby before lounging around on the moneybags, belching, smoking those big rich-guy cigars, and picking tiny tendons out of their teeth.

I'm sorry, but 10 million dollars in the hands of a skilled businessman will usually do more for the economy than 100 dollars in the hands of 100,000 consumers. Of course, the ideal solution, best for the economy, is across-the-board tax cuts that deliver both the 10 million and the 100 dollar checks to their respective taxpayers.

By the way, as long as we are talking anti-terrorism, and Clinton's glorious record against bin Laden and others, have you already forgotten Ronald Reagan's program to protect us from potential asteroid collisions by building a huge fleet of manned mass-driver spaceships that in 1982 and 1985 diverted two immense asteroids from an inevitable collision with Earth?

(Hey, I can pull this stuff out of my ass, too.)
