A bit overstated - as usual
I don't see the US ignoring the rest of the world on a wide range of issues, just a few important ones. Bush is not going to do anything to disrupt global trade but he certainly seems inclined to use military force at his own discretion regardless of what allies feel. I don't think it will fundamentally effect our relationships with our long term allies, just create a lot of public criticism. The main beef is Bush expanding the war on terrorism to a war on rogue states developing weapons of mass destruction. The real question here is: Is Bush TOO hawkish?
