>"Dont worry bout the typos your lunacy comes through fine!"
Yeah, and so does everyone else's. If we all agreed, how boring this board would be!
I like to come in and stir up the hornets nest....I was being lively and trite, with my tongue sliding along my cheek.....lunacy at it's finest!
For the record, I have never spoke against our war in Afganistan.
I believe it was righteous and necessary.
However, you'll have a long way to drag me to believe we need these multi-BILLION dollar "defense" programs He's proposing. As I said recently elsewhere, with our $32 BILLION annual budget for "intelligence" agencies, why didn't one of them PREVENT the attacks?
What were they using their "intelligence" for?
No, the FAA warned the FBI several times that Saudi nationals were signing up to fly jetliners,......not to learn to take off or land, just FLY.
Those calls went unheeded, they were told to back off.
Now, to fix the hole in the dyke, we are going to take out major portions of unfriendly countries, and build NEW intelligence agencies that will end up crippling America, rather than protecting her. I could be wrong, but Boondoggles R Us.
More of your tax dollars to the bureaucracy.
No accountability for what we already have that isn't working so well.
Like a teenager that gets the car keys and an allowance, and still misses curfew.....when will it ever end?
Did you see the MSNBC link last night on the lax security at Ft. Detrick, Maryland on our bioweapons labs? THAT oversight, which could have been fixed for say....less than a mill a year....will cost us BILLIONS more... to do what?
Save us from some nut who got the botulism vial?
Al Qeida and the Taliban are real problems, and like juveniles, they must be dealt with, and I agree with you there.
>I am a pacifist liberal- but I don't let my politics blind me to the facts. WE HAVE NO CHOICE OTHER THAN TO DESTROY THE TERRORISTS AND TOPPLE THE GOVERNMENTS THAT SUPPORT THEM!
So, let's go take out Palestine...right now!
How about Israel, for that matter??
>Lindy, your nutty opinions are the only ones being ignored.....
Nah, you were just the first one to counter mine.
I get tired of the same old conservative blah-blah-blah here.
You know, I read stuff like The Nation, The Washington Spectator, World Press, The Progressive, etc....and I just banter around what they say. I'm NOT nutty, but my views are similiar to the other half of Americans who DIDN'T vote for Him....er ...him.
ABOUT THIS COMMENT:
>No! But I'd pity anyone who went to great lengths to feel sorry for themselves to the point of >threats or revenge.
>That's a dead horse, isn't it?
I was referring to the story of the divorced man......not about the attack on America!
>you, Lindy, need to wake up and SMELL THE CHARRED CORPSES and look at this situation objectively....
I have, I do, and I am a neo-conservative, quasi-liberal pacifist who doesn't trust George Bush!
I don't even LIKE him!
Declaring war on terrorists or countries that "harbor" terrorists is getting a little too close to the edge.
Saber rattling. Nothing like threatening someone to get them to do what you want.
It might work, but it builds enmity.
>This is a just war, and any fool who says otherwise will be recognized for the fool they are.... Just like you have been...
Oh, Thanks RL. Bless you too.
I think differently than you, therefore I AM.
Nothing wrong with that.
Vive le difference`!
